புதுவையில் தொடரும் சிறுமிகள் மீதான பாலியல் கொடுமை – குற்றவாளிகளை காப்பாற்றும் என்.ஆர்.அரசு ?

சிபிஎம் புதுச்சேரி தட்டாஞ்சாவடியில் உள்ள கே.எஸ்.பி.இன்டர்நேஷனல் பள்ளியின் தாளாளரும் புதுச்சேரி நகரமைப்பு வாரியதலைவருமான கே.எஸ்.பி.ரமேஷ் பள்ளியில் பயின்று வரும் ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு மாணவிக்கு 4 ஆண்டுகளாக பாலியல் ரீதியாக தொல்லை கொடுத்துவந்துள்ளார்.

அவரின் பாலியல் தொந்தரவை பொறுக்க முடியாமல் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மாணவி புதுச்சேரி குழந்தைகள் நலக்குழுவிடம் புகார் தெரிவித்ததை தொடர்ந்து பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மாணவியிடம் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்ட குழந்தைகள் நலக்குழு புதுச்சேரி காவல் துறை தலைவர் மற்றும் (D-Nagar) தன்வந்திரி நகர் காவ
ல்நிலையத்திற்கு வழக்கு பதிய உத்தரவிட்டார்.

குழந்தைகள் நலக்குழுவின் புகாரை பெற்று வழக்கு பதியாமல் D – நகர் காவல்துறை விசாரணை என்ற பெயரில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மாணவி மற்றும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினரை அழைத்து விசாரித்து மாணவி முன்னுக்கு பின் முரணான தகவல்களை கூறினார் என்று கூறி முதல் தகவல் அறிக்கை பதிவு செய்யாமல் அச்சுறுத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

ஏற்கனவே புதுச்சேரி பள்ளி சிறுமிகள் பாலியல் தொழிலில் ஈடுபடுத்தியது தொடர்பாக காவல்துறையினரே பதவியில் இருந்து நீக்கப்பட்ட சம்பவத்தை தொடர்ந்து முதலமைச்சர் தொகுதியில் உள்ள பள்ளியில் முதலமைச்சருக்கு நெருங்கிய ஆளும் கட்சி பிரமுகரான வாரியத்தலைவர் கே.எஸ்.பி.ரமேஷ் மீது வழக்கு பதியபட்டால் எதிர்வரும் தேர்தலில் என்.ஆர்.காங்கிரஸ் அரசுக்கு பின்னடைவு ஏற்படுத்தும் என்ற ஒரே காரணத்திற்காக தற்போது இவ்வழக்கை பதிவு செய்யாமல் புதுச்சேரி காவல் துறை விசாரித்து வருகிறது.

ஆகவே புதுச்சேரி காவல்துறை தலைவர் உடனடியாக தலையிட்டு பாலியல் குற்றவாளி ரமேஷ் மீது வழக்கு பதிந்திடவும், குற்றவாளி தப்பித்து விடாமல் காலதாமதம் இன்றி கைது செய்திடவேண்டும் என இந்திய மாணவர் சங்கம்(SFI), இந்திய ஜனநாயக வாலிபர் சங்கம்DYFI), அனைத்திந்திய ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்கம்(AIDWA) சார்பில் முதல் கட்ட போராட்டத்தை இன்று புதுச்சேரி நகரமைப்பு அலுவலகத்தை முற்றுகையிட்டு போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

CPI (M) seek arrest

Meanwhile, the Puducherry unit of Communist Party of India (M) has demanded the police to arrest Ramesh based on the complaint. R. Rajangam, state secretary in a statement condemned the police for allegedly attempting to protect Ramesh, a ruling party functionary.

CPI seeks Ministry’s intervention in child abuse case

The Communist Party of India (CPI) has urged the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare to intervene in the child abuse case against K.S.P. Ramesh, a functionary of ruling AINRC and arrest the accused.

A police team has recorded the statement of a Class 9 girl in Puducherry who accused her school correspondent of sexually exploiting her for the last four years.

PUDUCHERRY: Police have launched a probe into charges against a functionary of the ruling All India NR Congress of sexually assaulting a minor girl in Puducherry.

A police team on Saturday recorded the statement of a Class 9 girl at a school in Thattanchavady, who accused school correspondent K S P Ramesh of sexually exploiting her for the last four years. Ramesh is a prominent functionary of the All India NR Congress party. He is the chairman of the Puducherry Housing Board.

The issue came to light after the victim, unable to bear the continuous harassment, called the Childline seeking help. Childline volunteers produced the victim and her parents before the Child Welfare Committee. The committee members made preliminary inquiries and recorded the statement of the girl in the presence of her parents and admitted her to a government-approved home for children.

In her statement, the girl said Ramesh had been sexually assaulting her for the last four years. The girl said when she told her father, a worker in a government undertaking and her mother, a housewife, about the continuous sexual harassment of the correspondent, they sought the school management to issue transfer certificate for her. However, the correspondent not only refused to issue a transfer certificate but also threatened them of dire consequences if they revealed the issue to others.

The committee forwarded a complaint to the inspector general of police and the D Nagar police seeking immediate action against the accused. D Nagar police sub-inspector T Nagarajan said the girl, during the police inquiry on Saturday, contradicted her statement she had made earlier with the Child Welfare Committee.

“The victim has been making contradictory statements. She levelled some charges against the correspondent before the Childline and Child Welfare Committee. But when we inquired, she said she was irked after being suspended from school, and in a fit of rage she levelled charges against the correspondent. We will continue the probe further to decide further course of action,” Nagarajan said.

Child rights activists, students’ forums and civil rights forums have accused the ruling government for intimidating the victim and her parents to withdraw the complaint against a party member.

“Police have not taken any concrete action against the accused after intervention from the ruling party members. We seek a thorough probe into the episode and we will approach the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights in this regard,” said Periyar Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam coordinator M Gokul Gandhinath.

Repeated attempts to reach Ramesh for his comments turned futile. Police in sollusion with the Chairman is now diverting the story to make the parents to withdraw the complaint. If the police is doing such wrong things it is very bad. Proper enquiry must be conducted and the chaiman must be dealt with serverely.

Pondicherry housing board chairman accused of sexual assault

The Pondicherry housing board chairman has been accused of sexually assaulting a ninth standard girl. In her statement given to the child welfare committee, the girl accuses the correspondent of her school KSP Ramesh was sexually exploiting her for the last four years. KSP Ramesh is a prominent functionary of ruling NR Congress and present chairman of Pondicherry housing board.

When the harrassment became unbearable, she complained to her parents. When the parents approached the school for getting the transfer certificate, the school correspondent allegedly threatened the parents and refused to give the TC. The girl contacted the child welfare committee whose members registered her statement in the presence of her parents. The committee then forwarded the complaint to the Inspector General of Police and the D Nagar police station seeking immediate action.

Though the police team has recorded the statement they refused to register an FIR. According the sub inspector Nagarajan of D Nagar police station, the girl has given a contradictory statement to the police. “She told us that she gave a wrong complaint to CWC. The girl was suspended from the school earlier and it seems that made her give a wrong complaint against the school correspondent. Anyway we will further enquire into the issue,” he said.

Child right activists and student forums allege that the ruling government is using all its influence for the case not to get registered and to dilute the issue because of the strong political background of the accused. A Anand secretary of Student Federation of India said that fair investigation should be conducted on this issue.
